Wednesday Blues

Here I am! After a long year and an equally long hiatus from the blog world. And I hope to be more regular and consistent henceforth. What prompted me to start writing again is some food and good talk with a friend. I'll start with movies. Ever since Atul and Nidhi (my friends) taught me how to download movies, I am addicted and have started building up quite a collection. Last week, I saw Adam(2009) starring Hugh Dancy, who I thought was brilliant as a young man with Asperger's Syndrome. The movie follows the life of this individual who has a social interaction problem and how after his father dies, he is left alone to figure out how to live. It was heart-wrenching to see what happens with people with autism who are left without any support to kneel on after the death of their parents. Unfortunately, society treats them in a very insensitive manner. The Squid and the Whale(2005) is another delicate movie on a very sensitive topic. It showcases the lives of two yo...
